A comedic series that centers around the happenings within a TV newsroom in Canada.
Before the character of David Brent (Ricky Gervais) became well-known, there was George Findlay (Ken Finkleman). Similar to The Office, The Newsroom is a comedic portrayal that resembles a documentary. Located in a Toronto television station, the characters often possess higher education than their British counterparts, yet they exhibit the same levels of pettiness and immaturity. None demonstrate this more than the self-centered, evasive, and miserly news director Findlay. Now, eight years have passed since the initial season. As the second season commences, Findlay is grappling with the fallout of his wife and mistress both leaving him. He is now in therapy and on anti-depressants. To complicate matters further, the oblivious anchor Jim Walcott (played by Peter Keleghan from Made in Canada, reminiscent of Ted Knight) has transitioned to American television, prompting Findlay to search for a replacement. The candidate he is considering is not only exceptionally qualified but also quite attractive.
Even better, she is currently single. Would it be morally questionable to propose a date? Meanwhile, in the United States, Walcott's new morning show kicks off on a high note, but navigating the tough New York scene proves challenging, leading him unexpectedly back to Canada. This scenario unfolds in the very first episode titled, "America, America." Unsurprisingly, Findlay hasn’t experienced significant personal growth through these events. The only change is his increasing age, while the specter of death looms ever closer. Over the ensuing twelve episodes, he faces the grave illnesses of an old friend ("Reality Strikes"), a coworker ("Death 1, George 0"), and even a coworker's pet ("An Enormous Waste of Time.") Guest appearances feature notable figures, including author Naomi Klein of No Logo fame ("Pushy Moneygrubbing Cosmopolitan Racist") and Alberta Watson from 24 (appearing in several episodes). The second season is a continuation of Finkleman's previous works, including his film Foreign Objects and the television movie Escape From the Newsroom, and it has been confirmed for a third and concluding season.

PLATFORM:
Stated within the auction is what platform the game will work on (ie. Windows, Mac, Linux...) This is a generic statement and specific platform versions (ie. XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
