I LOVED it. Seeing you with all your enthusiasm and committment to children was very touching. I cried with connection, pride and love. Happy tears. Peter, keep doing what you do. You make a difference. --Sharon Wegscheider-Cruse
GREAT VIDEO! After all these years, you are still carrying the message, thru your wonderful creativity. I hope you are in AWE of the wonderful work you have been given to do and have done so very well. --Dr. Joseph Cruse, MD
New Peter Alsop DVD Is a Definite Si! By Rick Gottfried I'll admit it up front, I'm a big Peter Alsop fan. I've come to love and appreciate his songs. I may like them even more than my son, Gabe does. Is that ok for a Dad? Come on, how can you not be moved by and admire such songs as Bored, Bored, Bored!, Wha'd'ya Wanna Do?, Yecch, I Am A Pizza, No One Knows For Sure, Don't Trick Your Dad!, Be Gentle Robin!, and My Body. These are amazing classics. Not just as a parent, but as a marriage and family therapist, I marvel at Peter s genius and wisdom in reaching and teaching kids and parents important lessons about life and always with a laugh or two. So, of course, I was curious to see what new magic Peter has spun with his latest release. I watched Sometimes Si twice. The second viewing, when I saw it with Gabe, who is six and three quarters years old, was particularly meaningful and fun for me. In fact, I was surprised to see how much Gabe liked it and how much I liked it when sharing it with my child. You see, the theme of the video is helping kids understand alcoholism. It s a theme that most parents tend to shy away from and avoid exposing their children to. Whether we like it or not, though, alcohol is everywhere, so we might as well prepare our kids for it. And earlier and often is better than later or not at all. Well guess what? Peter has indeed worked his magic and made the subject family friendly and fun to watch together. At least, that s how Gabe and I felt. How does Peter do it? The video follows Chloe, a five year old, and some of her friends as they seek safe and comforting people in their lives to speak with about the troubling stuff going on at home. Gabe thought that the loud arguing emanating from Chloe s house in the video must have been Peter Alsop arguing with his Mom. He could relate to Chloe and her friends feeling sad, confused and in need of someone to talk to about it. Fortunately, the friends and Chloe find their way to Peter Alsop in the role of school custodian. Peter s companions in the video add a dimension of fun and playfulness. Keeping Peter company in his office is a pet poodle puppy named Pink Paw. The dog is so comically big that we only see his magenta colored paws. In response to Chloe s mention of her dilemma at home, Peter explains that people use booze and drugs to make their problems go away. Gabe wasn t sure what booze was and this was a chance for me to make the connection between the term booze and a variety of alcoholic beverages he may have seen or heard of. Peter clarified for the kids (and for Gabe) that people abuse alcohol to medicate painful feelings. Gabe was then captivated as Peter, accompanied by four chin-head singers, broke into song. Gabe really liked this song & funny looking chin-heads. I was fascinated at their realistic lips, mouth, tongue and teeth. It was a very amusing way to get an important message across. This DVD would be a very meaningful gift for the whole family this holiday season. This is especially true given the other alternatives children have on the screen these days. Gabe is now watching the DVD on his own and I catch him singing along with the songs. We can be thankful for the very entertaining ways Peter is empowering our children, expanding our understanding as parents and bringing our family members closer together. To Peter Alsop and Sometimes Si, Sometimes No! I say, Si Senor! --The Messenger

WHAT YOU GET:
This item is for the original media, and includes only the media (ie. CD, floppy ...) UNLESS specifically stated above and/or in the title. If more than just the media is included, it will state which items are (ie. box, manual, etc ). Items that come in a sleeve refer to a generic CD sleeve (typically white) and will be sent with shipping protection to avoid damage during transit. If available, we will also send the front and/or back CD inserts if in stock. If these are important to you, please message us to verify we have them available to send. Please do not assume items are included other than what's stated. Again, ask questions PRIOR to purchasing if you have any concerns.
IMAGES:
All images/pictures are stock photos and are for reference only, mainly to show the type of game you will be getting. Please read "WHAT YOU GET" for what is included with the media. Screenshots may vary based on your own computer system, video card, monitor, etc.
COMPATIBILITY:
Computers are like people, each one is different. Unlike console games, a computer game may install and work flawlessly on one system but may need adjustments on another. This is due to a variety of factors, mainly the OS platform running, video card you have, drivers, protection software installed, etc. Many times manufacturers release updates to games to fix bugs and add enhancements. We would be happy to help get the game going on your computer, but ultimately compatibility issues are the responsibility of the buyer. We suggest going to Google and searching for the name of the game along with the words "system requirements" to determine if your system is suitable. Ultimately, we are not responsible for software compatibility problems or publisher's errors.
PLATFORM:
Stated within the auction is what platform the game will work on (ie. Windows, Mac, Linux...) This is a generic statement and specific platform versions (ie. XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
MEDIA FORMAT:
Please verify you have the required hardware in order to use the specified media (ie. CD, DVD, floppy drives, etc.) If the item comes as a floppy disc, make sure you have either the needed 3.5" floppy drive or the bigger and older 5.25" floppy drive.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A SMOOTH PURCHASE:
Ask questions PRIOR to purchasing an order to avoid any confusion.
Be patient if there are problems during installation or gameplay. Typically someone else has
already ran into that problem and has listed a solution online. Contact us and we will do our best to help.
Be sure to update your video card drivers and search for updates to the game from the manufacturer.
