Courteney Cox, taking a daring turn from her role as Monica on Friends, plays Lucy Spiller, the editor of Dirt magazine. Unyielding and high-strung, Lucy embodies a blend of Ben Bradlee and Bonnie Fuller. She is committed to journalistic ethics but has an instinctive flair for the sensational scoop. “There’s actual journalism in what we’re doing,” she motivates her team of reporters, declaring, “The only protection we have is the truth.”
Lucy grapples with a stereotypical personal background (issues of abandonment, troubles with intimacy, and so forth). Yet, she proves to be much more entertaining in her professional environment as she resorts to blackmailing celebrities for stories by threatening to expose their sexual indiscretions, using stun guns on fleeting romances, or betraying close relationships to secure an exclusive, career-destroying headline. Her trusted photographer and closest friend is Don Konkey (played by Ian Hart, who strikingly portrays John Lennon in Backbeat and The Hours and Times), a functioning schizophrenic experiencing hallucinations but willing to do anything for Lucy—even amputate his own finger to gain entry to a medical facility where an unblemished Christian pop star is being mysteriously hidden. Konkey represents both the voice and the soul of Dirt. His recap episodes serve as standout moments (“No offense, but you should be well-informed by now,” he comments in episode 7).
In the background, Lucy’s team includes Willa (played by Alex Breckenridge), a young, inexperienced, and ambitious worker. As the season unfolds, she evolves into a much more daring figure as she embraces the darker elements of their world.

XP, Vista...) will have to be researched by the buyer. Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
