A TASTE OF LOVE 6-DISC SET
The best way to the heart is through the stomach. TVBI's 2001 drama A Taste of Love tells a lighthearted, uplifting story about food, family, and love on picturesque Lamma Island, one of Hong Kong's outlying fishing islands.
Top television stars Lawrence Ng and Flora Chan lead an impressive cast of up-and-coming actors and respected veterans. A Taste of Love was one of Raymond Lam's debut dramas, aired in Hong Kong the same year as Stepping Into the Past, and his potential was already clear playing opposite pop diva Miriam Yeung, in one of her few TVB drama appearances. Also on the verge of breakthrough at the time was Joe Ma, who has since become one of TVB's top actors.
Actresses Joyce Tang and Hilary Tsui and veterans Suet Lei, Gordon Liu, and Shing Fui On all take supporting roles in this engaging, underrated romantic drama.
After her father's passing, kindergarten teacher Fa Ji (Flora Chan) receives partial ownership of his seafood restaurant on Lamma Island. Neither her stepmother (Suet Lei) nor her half-brother Seung Yau (Raymond Lam) know of her existence, and unsure how to face them, Fa Ji pretends to be their debtor.
Their restaurant was once the best of Lamma, but has slipped greatly in the hands of laidback, aimless Seung Yau. To save the restaurant and motivate her brother, Fa Ji hires bad-tempered master chef Ma Yau (Lawrence Ng), who is hiding on Lamma for reasons of his own. The restaurant also becomes the refuge for bumbling aspiring singer Candy (Miriam Yeung).
Amidst clattering dishes and constant bickering, close bonds develop as Seung Yau grows as a cook and Fa Ji slowly reaches through to Ma Yau's heart. But can this haven hold when Ma Yau's rival (Joe Ma) and ex-girlfriend (Joyce Tang) make their way to Lamma, and Fa Ji's real identity is revealed?

Games that came out PRIOR to XP or higher will not specifically state they will work on that release, but only because they came out before those versions were made. Many, if not most, will work on XP or higher with a few quick adjustments. We provide instructions with all items purchased on how to do this adjustment using the Program Compatibility Wizard. If we find out that an item will definately not work on a specific version, we will state it. For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program if the Program Compatibility Wizard does not work.
64-Bit Windows OS Systems:
For 64-bit Operating Systems, older games most likely will NOT work due to 64-bit systems not being able to run 16-bit programming code (most games prior to 2000). For DOS games, you may need to play it with a free DOSbox program.
Macintosh Systems:
For Macintosh programs, most older games will need to be run in Classic Environment if you have a MAC OS X 10.0 - 10.4 version. Please research Google on how to do this, or send us a message for information prior to purchasing. If your MAC OS system doesn't support Classic Environment (ie. MAC OS X 10.5 or Higher OR Intel Macs), you will have to try running it using the free program called SheepShaver, but compatibility is not ensured. Please research prior to purchasing or ask questions.
